One of the most common questions we hear from simulator operators: "Can I let customers access the facility on their own?" Maybe you want to offer late-night bookings without paying for overnight staff. Maybe you're building an entirely unmanned facility. Either way, the answer is now yes.
We've partnered with Seam to bring smart lock integration directly into VTeeGolf. Connect a single smart lock, and every booking automatically generates a unique access code — valid from 30 minutes before the reservation until 15 minutes after. No keys, no fobs, no manual lockbox codes.
How It Works
1. Connect Your Smart Lock
VTeeGolf integrates with Seam, which supports locks from August, Yale, Schlage, Kwikset, SmartThings, TTLock, iGloohome, NoiseAware, and more. If you already have a smart lock installed, connecting it takes minutes from the admin panel.
2. Customers Book Online
Nothing changes about the booking experience. Customers pick a bay, choose a time, and pay — same as before. The only difference is what happens next.
3. Access Codes Are Generated Automatically
After a booking is confirmed, VTeeGolf generates a unique, bay-level access code. The customer receives it via email. The code only works during their booking window — 30 minutes before start to 15 minutes after end. When the window closes, the code expires.
4. Restrict by Membership (Optional)
Not every customer needs 24/7 access. You can restrict remote access to specific membership tiers — for example, only "Unlimited" members can book self-service sessions, while regular customers still book during staffed hours. Or open it up to everyone. Your call.

Getting Started
Install a compatible smart lock
If you don't have one yet, we recommend August or Yale for ease of setup.
Connect it in VTeeGolf admin
Navigate to Settings → Remote Access and follow the Seam connection flow.
Configure access rules
Choose which memberships get remote access, or enable it for all customers.
Start accepting self-service bookings
Customers booking eligible time slots will automatically receive their access code.
No Extra Cost
Remote access is included in every VTeeGolf plan. There's no add-on fee, no per-unlock charge, and no setup cost. If you have a VTeeGolf account and a compatible smart lock, you're ready to go.
